Hi, My name is Amanda Stegmann. I have an MS in Nutrition Specializing in Obesity and Eating Disorders and am a Dietitian, Licesened in Florida and Massachusetts.
Originally from Maine, I completed my bachelors degree in Massachusettes and moved to Boston where I have been since 2006. After working in social work for 8 years I decided to pursue my MS in Nutrition to further help people by teaching them how nutrition can impact their health.
I worked as the sole nutritionist for the largest HIV organization in New England for nearly 4 years. While there, I counseled hundreds of patients with chronic illnesses and published a nutrition cookbook to treat 10 comorbidities associated with HIV. My MS and experience allowed me to sit for the CDR Registered Dietitian Exam and become a Licensed Dietitian. I’ve now started a private practice as a Dietitian and Consultant allowing me to provide medical nutrition therapy to my community, consult on national meal plans, contribute to health programs, provide professional trainings, and implement a community based nutrition program for Boston University’s Goldman Pediatric Dental Clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team collaborating to create a wellness program for children and families.
I love being involved with my community to start implenting change in my own back yard. It is a privilage and joy to be able to teach people simple and sustainable habits to empower them to not only learn to like new foods, but also lead healtheir lives.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and your journey! I look forward to working with you
